Annual Events in Placentia

Easter Eggcitement is Placentia’s annual Easter Celebration at Kraemer Park. Breakfast is served; face painting with the Miss Placentia and Yorba Linda Court, Stories and crafts with the Placentia Library Department, Pictures with the Easter Bunny and an Egg Hunt.

Placentia Fresh Farmer’s Market begins in the summertime, located in downtown Placentia.  The “Placentia Fresh” Farmers Market will feature fresh fruits, vegetables, baked goods and other fine foods.

Movies in the Park are shown on Friday nights during the summer months at Placentia Champions Sports Complex. Movies begin at dusk and admission is FREE.

Concerts in the Park are held at Tri-City Park every Thursday in the months of July and August.  Non profit food vendors sell refreshments and dinner at each concert.

Annual Heritage Festival in October begins the day with the Chamber of Commerce Pancake Breakfast at Tri-City Park.  The Parade will begin at 9:30am and travel from Morse Avenue north on Kraemer to Tri-City Park.  The parade features over 200 parade entries including bands, marching groups, VIPs, clowns, and non-profit organizations.  Parade bands will be judged prior to entering the parade, Judges will review bands at De Palma Terrace Senior Living.  The Heritage Festival will follow the parade at Tri-City Park featuring DJ music, roving entertainers and a variety of “Specialty Areas.”  The Food Court Area will serve a variety of taste tempting treats.  The Chamber of Commerce Business Expo Area showcases local businesses.  The Car Show Area will feature over 200 antique, custom, hot rod and classic cars on display; boats will also be displayed.  This is one of the largest car shows in the area complete with specialty car show vendors, opportunity draws, and entertainment.

Veteran's Day in November is a special event in the City of Placentia, which honors Placentia residents who have served or are currently serving in the Armed Forces by adding their names to the Veterans Monument at the Placentia Civic Center.  The event features guest speakers chosen by the Veterans Advisory Committee Members.

25th Annual Winter Holidays Celebration sponsored by the City of Placentia Cultural Arts Commission will be held in December at the Civic Center Courtyard.  The event will feature live entertainment, caroling, and a visit from Santa with an opportunity to pose for individual pictures.
